It was a night when children were given the floor to bestow accolades on Hollywood. At the 21st annual Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, Miley Cyrus, below, the star of the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana,” was chosen favorite television actress and female singer, while “Drake and Josh,” a Nickelodeon series, was honored as favorite television show with one of its stars, Drake Bell, as favorite television actor. The awards were the result of more than 80 million votes that Nickelodeon said were cast through its Web site, nick.com. Also honored at the ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles and shown on Nickelodeon, were “Alvin and the Chipmunks” (favorite movie); Johnny Depp (movie actor, for “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”); Jessica Alba (movie actress, “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”); “American Idol” (reality show); Chris Brown (male singer); and the Jonas Brothers (music group).
