"My vision for the evening was big branches of purple lilac, pink peonies, purple decor and lots of turn-of-the-century luxe and grandeur," said the designer, surveying gold urns of fragrant lilac and purple damask curtains. Guests such as Denise Hale, Jacqui Getty, Jennifer Siebel, Kimberly Bakker and Shannon Bavaro sipped Champagne from gilt-edged crystal flutes.

His muse would definitely have approved. "He was so devoted to beauty," Gn said of Wilde. "He would have loved this."
