IN THE MARKET: The 13th annual Los Angeles Antiques Show, hosted by Diane Keaton, boasted the usual throng of West Side socials, from Kimberly Brooks (wife of Albert) to Kelly Katz (wife of Martin), plus a mix of artists such as Robert Graham and Ed Ruscha; interior designers Kelly Wearstler, Rose Tarlow and Schuyler Samperton; East Side influencers Balthazar Getty, Lisa Eisner and Amanda Demme, and fashion staples Amanda Ross and Alexandra Kimball. Other hosts (what is an event without an arm-length list of them?) included Maria Bell, Julia Sorkin and Elizabeth Stewart (whose charity P.S. Arts benefited from the evening's ticket sales). While collectors scoured the aisles at Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar during the pre-party preview, even the most blasé raised an eyebrow at the prices, a sign the recession must be real. And judging by the number of pretty vintage frocks versus new ones, the fashion set must be cutting corners, too.
