CHOPIN CELEBRATES VISIONARIES -- A TASTE OF THE EDGE!

NEW YORK, NY
(May 29, 2008) - Chopin Vodka hosted an intimate cocktail and dinner party on May 29, 2008 at the home of Robert Futterman, to celebrate VISIONARIES --individuals whose creative and entrepreneurial spirit inspire others to venture to their passion and success. Robert Futterman, founder of RKF (the market leader in retail leasing, investment sales and consulting services), welcomed other likeminded visionaries who shared a taste of their success as entrepreneurs with up and coming entrepreneurs from diverse fields including the arts, technology, retail, design, hospitality, real estate, beauty, internet, pharmaceuticals, finance and more.

Guests such as celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino chatted with founder of FUZE beverages Lance Collins, soon joined by acclaimed choreographer and founder of the Chamber Dance Project who almost had the group performing a duet to the dulcet tones of Chopin. Meanwhile, Vivre founder and lifestyle icon, Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, draped herself on a swiveling mohair chair while designers Miguelina Gambaccini and Douglas Hannant admired her newest find for Vivre: a wooden bracelet sporting rhinestones pelled “whatever”.

Speaking of unusual finds and intriguing fashion, TSM Capital’s Aslaug Magnusdottir enthralled guests with the inside scoop on the company’s investments in Rachel Roy, Matthew Williamson and Andre Benjamin’s new clothing line. In yet another cluster, power art and design couple Tatiana and Campion Platt engaged in avid discourse about Art Basel with top art advisor and founder of the Tate Museum Contemporaries, Lauren Prakke and Whitney Contemporaries founder Lisa Anastos. This spurred a discussion about the nexus between art, architecture and technology, which culminated with Cliqk founder Mike Hernandez’s “smart” houses, as they looked toward technology guru Casey Fahey to elucidate them as to the workings of complex structures.

The luminaries sipped C.E.O (Chopin Extra Olive) martinis (shaken, not stirred!), savored Chopin vodka infused tidbits as they shared experiences - that of going to the edge, being pushed and flying, as exhorted by Guillaume Apollinaire. The host lauded the honored guests on their dedication to originality and courage -- “like Frederic Chopin, who was a visionary in his own time and embodied the qualities of an entrepreneur - inspirational creativity, leadership, independence and courage". Dinner consisted of seared sea bass, braised short ribs and Chopin infused crème brulee, paired with Chopin cocktails.

Named after Poland's favorite son, Frederic Chopin, Chopin Vodka is the original luxury potato vodka. It is single ingredient vodka distilled from potatoes grown in the Podlasic region known for its fertile soil; 7 pounds of naturally grown potatoes goes into every bottle of Chopin. Handcrafted, it is produced in small batches to ensure superior quality - distilled 4 times to result in the balance of distinctive character and subtle sweetness, with a round, full character and a crisp finish with a hint of green apple that makes it not only the quintessential staple in any drink, but a great complement to food, as the dinner menu demonstrated.
