Four Days and Nights in Paris January 28, 2007

The Paris Couture Presentations have just ended and the glitterati survived the tight dinner schedules and chilly temperatures while enjoying every bit of a glamorous parade of dresses that the four days provided. Giorgio Armani Prive expectedly drew the biggest star wattage. To help further publicize the brand in the American high society market, the company flew out Amanda Hearst, Tinsley Mortimer and Zani Gugelmann (the latter two shared a plane, according to our source) to the City of Lights and booked them upscale rooms at the Plaza Athénée. Others international society stars to make the presentation at Palais De Tokyo were Anouck Lepere, Camilla Al Fayed and Gemma Kidd. Cate Blanchett and Katie Holmes received as much attention from the shutterbugs as the Pope. At Elie Saab, Dita Von Teese (who seems to recovering nicely form her Marilyn Manson separation) and Ivana Trump (who has been recovering nicely form her Donald separation for the past twenty years) teased the press and paid a tribute to increasingly popular designer. Marisa Berenson and Diane Kruger were the standout attendees at the breathtaking Dior show while Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley took their power glances everywhere, most notably front row and center at Christian Lacroix. The New York Fashion Week is exactly a week away, so that gives the top ladies exactly a week to recover before paying their essential tributes to Gilles, Vera, Oscar, Marc and Carolina. I love Zani in the photo. She looks beautiful, and more exotic!
Perhaps, a lighter shade in her hair flatters her face more, but the darker color gives her more “character”.

well it has been printed all over the place that the “prince” dumped the winner for the runner-up and is slowly making his way down this list of his rejects from that reality show. i hope she is not dating him. people who do reality television are beyond pathetic, not to mention how many diseases he probably has from sleeping with the desperate whore who appear on those shows, so gross

The only thing I can find about Dabney and Lorenzo is a little Page Six snip about them hanging out at the MAC party, exchanging numbers and leaving together.
I can totally see Dabney being attracted to Lorenzo and his family. With all these girls doing clothing design and/or being involved in fashion, the Borghese cosmetic line is probably very appealing.
Even though people think he’s a slime, I think he’s cute. And the show probably won’t hurt him in the long run. I’m sure the Firestone family didn’t lose any business because of Andrew and his participation.
I have no idea what Dabney does for work. Does anyone know?

I think Dabney works for the designer Peter Som.
I think that Page Six item was a “plant” to get press on the event they attended.
And so that the gossip would continue from there on those two.

The only people I know that use Borghese is my girlfriend’s mother. She is in her late 50’s and drop dead gorgeous. The other is a woman I work with and she is in her 60’s.
I believe the brand is popular with older women with at least upper middle class lifestyles. I pulled up the “where to buy” locations in California and all places are in high end areas.
dabney isn’t dating that guy. she has a boyfriend and it certainly isn’t the prince of reality tv… sinc ehen did page six become a real news source. gossip is gossip for a reason, most of it is just funny speculation.

All this talk socialites makes me wonder how they spend so much time away from their husbands. I have yet to see a picture of Topper and Tinsely together at a party at socialiterank. Is it in vogue to leave your husband at home while you parade in Paris?

so what if Tins didn’t bring Topper. I think the couples who are always together (like the Rellies) are the ones to be suspicious of. Besides, i dont see Winston Lapham with Amanda and no one is making a big deal out of that? I think Tins looks great in that color and she stands out even with the prettier younger girls surrounding her. Amanda is pretty but this is not a particularly flattering picture of her.

Also, Italy no longer recognizes royalty. So is Lorenzo even a prince? Maybe by blood, but not in reality. Also, he doesn’t come across as wealthy to me. Is he really all that rich? He runs a dog grooming company, right?
It is known by anyone close to Prince Lorenzo Borghese that he has a girlfriend. He has been dating a much younger girl that works in his office for some time now, possibly, even while on his tasteless reality tv show. I gather that he cheats on her quite a bit and most recently, I guess, with Danbney Mercer. I really hope Dabney does not get involved with this loser. He is such a joke.

Tins looks so much better now that the girly curl has been relaxed into more of a beachy wave. Maybe the Vogue make-under took.
Lorenzo’s mama is a nutcase. She made a fool of herself and the Borghese name on national television.

Prince Borghese, don’t make me laugh.
They’re descendants of Pope Leo XI. They’re papal nobility, if such a thing is even recognized as a title these days.
The Prince tag is a cheap, sensationalist attempt to draw in a larger audience. I suspect it worked.
On the plus side, he’s easy on the eyes, and would surely keep one’s and one’s friends’ dogs nicely groomed for free. If one’s interested in such trifles, anyway.
