TOP SHOPPING: She may be London's style sweetheart, but Kate Moss had her French fashion followers lining up outside the uberhip Colette store, where her collaboration collection with the British fast-fashion firm is being sold exclusively in France. But Moss' Parisiennes will have to be patient. "We only received one third of the collection," said Colette's buyer, Sarah Lerfel, who allowed for only three items per shopper. The rest of the collection will trickle in throughout the month and into June. Let's hope deliveries are better for Barneys New York, which launches the line on Wednesday.

LARGER THAN LIFE: London scribes and socialites gathered at Bluebird last week to fete Naim Attallah, the legendary publisher, man-about-town, former chief executive of Asprey and erstwhile employer of London's pretty, posh ladies. The occasion was the launch of his memoir, "Fulfilment & Betrayal: 1975-1995," and guests included Nigella Lawson and Sabrina Guinness — former employees at his Quartet Books Ltd. — novelist Bella Pollen, Selina Blow, Sir David Frost, Nicky Haslam, Rosa Monckton, Dominic Lawson, Claus von Bulow, Poppy Delevigne and Cosima and Riccardo Pavoncelli. "He's a f---ing original," said Pollen of the flamboyant and generous Attallah, who backed her now-defunct fashion business. "He launched a lot of people's careers," added Blow. In the book, which is released in the U.K. this month, Attallah, 76, recalls his glamorous patchwork of a career and the beauties who inspired him.

THE RACE IS ON: Evan Yurman stood beaming inside the Classic Car Club Manhattan on Tuesday night as his parents, David and Sybil, looked on. The younger Yurman feted his Belmont watch collection at the venue, since his greatest passion in life besides jewelry is cars. "I like the way cars make people feel," said Evan. "Men, women, kids, construction workers, everyone." The fine jewelry heir took a while to count but finally estimated he has "eight-ish" cars. "I need a lot of cars," he said. "But it's a labor of love." Inside the loft space sat the David Yurman Race Car — created in honor of the collection — which Evan will drive cross-country and back in time to race it on May 27 in Lime Rock, Conn. "I think I'll have to make a stop in Napa after L.A. And maybe Big Sur," he joked to his father, David, who didn't look so amused.
