From Cetaphil to cyanide capsules, the fashion flock gets creative when it comes to contending with the hustle and bustle of collections. SIMON DOONAN, executive vice president, of creative service, Barneys New York and author
Shows he'll attend: "I don't go to a ton of shows — just enough to get the general drift. Narciso, DVF etc...."
Parties he'll attend: "I'm psyched for the Gucci thing. I have not seen Madge in the flesh for a while. She has started to look like Virna Lisi — this is a good thing."
Beauty regimen: "I spray myself liberally with L'Artisan Parfumeur Fig — It's important to smell good when you are jammed in close proximity with other fashionistas under the hot lights."
What he'll wear: "A Moncler jacket, Acne corduroys, a Paul Smith Liberty print shirt and a jaunty chapeau of some description. I do not believe in growing old gracefully."
What's in his bag: "Not much. A pen, a Metrocard and a cyanide capsule in case I see something suicide-inducing."
What's on his feet: "My new Nike AIRSTAR in silver — I am having a Kal Ruttenstein moment."
Snacks on hand: "Something health food-y — a granola bar or two."
Late-night fix: "I'm always in bed by 10:30 p.m."
How he'll unwind: "Watching 'Intervention.' It's gruesome but adds some much-needed gravitas to my life after a day at the tents."
Morning caffeine fix: "Kukicha tea."
Reading material: "You look really insane if you sit waiting for a show and start reading Dostoyevsky."
DICK PAGE, artistic director of Shiseido makeup
Shows he's working on: "Earth Pledge, United Bamboo, Alexander Wang, Zero Maria Cornejo, Narciso Rodriguez, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Halston. I think that's all of it."
Parties he'll attend: "Oh no, no, no! I get a little bit mental during this week. And I'm a little old to hang out with these teenage models. But maybe the Alexander Wang party."
Beauty regimen: "Same as usual: shower up. And Shiseido Men's Anti-Shine Refresher so when I'm interviewed on the telly it looks like I've just been polished."
What he'll wear: "It's very basic: jeans and a cotton shirt."
What's in his bag: "A camera. I also carry around a book that usually never gets read."
Snacks on hand: "Salid Thong, a crispy fish snack from Thailand."
Late-night fix: "Leftovers. I try to cook every day. So when I come home, there's usually something in the fridge that can be reheated."
How he'll unwind: "Sex, booze and a hot bath."
Morning caffeine fix: "PG tips — a traditional English worker's tea — with milk and sugar."
Reading material: "I'm rereading Simon Doonan's 'Nasty' and 'The Letters of Noel Coward.' "
