The latest addition to this seasons Strictly Come Dancing could well be in the books. Ex-Pussycat Dolls member Ashley Roberts is reported to be the latest to join the show.
The singer has a varied background and as well as being in the Pussycat Doll’s she was also the star of a burlesque troupe, and has been dancing since she was 3-years-old.
She has appeared in a number of UK shows despite being American, the shows include, a co-hosting stint on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway as well as a judge on Dancing on Ice.
A Strictly Come Dancing insider told The Sun that: ‘Ashley was a no brainer for the bookers. She’s sexy and sassy and has a bit about her. ‘She has danced previously but there’s a difference between dancing in a girl band and doing ballroom.’
She started her TV career in commercials and videos, before securing a position in the Pussycat Dolls back in 2005. After leaving the all-girl group, the group she appeared in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. It was on this show that she admitted that the attention on singer Nicole Scherzinger proved too much for her.
So who else is rumoured to be on the show? Steps singer Faye Tozer and Capital FM’s presenter Vick Hope are also tipped to be in the running, and two huge names, Cheryl Tweedy and Olympic swimmer Tom Daley are also rumoured to be lined up.
We have to say, we love our Strictly….
