The secret is out. Faye Tozer has revealed that her secret to success in her quest to win Strictly Come Dancing is pole dancing.
She has explained that the Step star has been doing pole dancing of over 12-years and that it has a lot to do with her amazing body. If you can excuse the pun, it has certainly helped to put her in ‘pole’ position.
She told the Mirror, that: “I learned to pole dance for the play Saucy Jack And The Space Vixens in 2006 and I loved it.”
After topping the leader board with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice, it has also come out that she carried on dancing after her 2006 stint and used her considerable talent whilst starring in the show The Naked Truth.
The Naked Truth was directed by Lisa Riley, and is a comedy based on five women who decide to take up pole dancing to raise money for a breast cancer charity.
She said previously about her pole dancing antics: “I’ve had a training session today and I’m red raw all the way across my inner thighs, and I can see bruising coming up already.
“I’ve been doing a Downward Crucifix and Martini Glass pose. All good fun, but really hard work and it’s painful.
“The better you get, the more friction burns you get.”
As it stands, Faye tops the leader board as well as Pussycat Dolls’ Ashley Roberts. Faye wowed the judges with partner Giovanni Pernice when the two nailed a Cha Cha Cha to Sigala and Paloma Faith’s Lullaby.
So much so, Shirley Ballas said it was “clean” and very musical, and as for Darcey Bussell, she said it as the “perfect way to finish the night”.
